Just a Rant
I apparently like torture. Everyday I go on cleveland.com to see what’s going on (mostly bs) and try to find some positivity. Alas, I always end up reading the comments portion and end up with negativity.
Here’s some examples from today:
“Food trucks, the leeches of the restaurant industry that couldn’t cut it in the restaurant environment” - about Dim and Den Sum
“Once, years ago, Tremont was the hip, cool place to be. Better before the suburbanites cheesed it up. Jersey Shore style.” - an idiot commented on the lack of hipness in Tremont eventhough the article was about the bridge construction.
PS. I live in Tremont and would rather have people from the burbs experiencing Cleveland neighborhoods then hipsters living here. At least they spend money…
And my favorite comment of today…
“Indians are playing okay now but it is just a matter of time until the curse settles in and they will begin losing. Look at their mascot - a Native American that looks like a goofy Disney character.” - a jerk commenting on last nights 7-5 win over the Royals.
Really don’t know why I do this to myself. I end up getting angry and want to post a reply. Thankfully, the good residents of CLE have already done it for me.
If you’re going to say something, at least make it some form of constructive criticism. Negativity just keeps things from getting better!
